* TUESDAY MARCH 17TH – OPERATION LOCKDOWN
It’s been an unprecedented time for everyone with cities and countries on lockdown.  There is so much uncertainty in my life and career as an artist.  As we all wait to see how all unfolds, time to reflect is abundant. For starters I’d like to share a teaser from my Alien operetta last fall.  This teaser was created by director, Deepak Chetty, in an effort to bring the performance to New York, Los Angeles and Europe, but those efforts are on hold.  I pray this piece and my public performances will see the light of day on the other side of the tunnel.  For now, I hope you’ll enjoy.  And if you find it in your heart and have the means, any donations are welcome via Paypal button above or Venmo @NathanFelix.  All donations are appreciated as supplemental income while I wait out the storm.

I am producing this day party alongside KOOP Radio and of course I had to include a new work of mine in it.  My work will be a short 18 minute psychedelic opera on headphones about the Kurds.  It’s titled Penebar.  See you at SXSW on March 19th.  My piece is at 4PM!

* WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 26TH – [POSTPONED] SXSW & MUSIC SCAVENGER HUNT
I have a two Texas performances coming in March and April.  In March I’ll be premiering a new operetta during SXSW Music Festival at a Day part hosted by myself and KOOP Radio. A poster with all 12 acts is coming soon so in the meantime, mark Thursday March 19th in your calendar.  The day party will be at Cacophony Recorders (4707 Red Bluff) from 12-6pm.  Then in April I’ll be producing a Musical Scavenger Hunt at Forsyth Galleries in College Station.  It’ll be an adventure with audience participation and new music for strings and voice on Thursday April 2nd.

* JANUARY 17TH 2020 – FIRST SHOW OF THE NEW DECADE
Whoa! Great first concert of the new decade. I love performances in my hometown because the support from the audience is overwhelmingly impassioned. As always thanks to the Blanton for supporting Austin classical music. Here are a few photos from the performance.

* JANUARY 9TH 2020 – BLANTON THEN AND BLANTON NOW [scroll over photo to see more]
I finally received some screenshots from the filming that Deepak Chetty captured for my immersive operetta, Alien Wanderer : Alien World : Alien Home, that premiered last November 21st at the Blanton in Austin.  Scroll through some of these photos to get a sense of the process from rehearsal to performance.  I make my return next week on January 16th 2020 again with soprano voice, Katrina Saporsantos, but different music and less theatrics unfortunately!
